Wealth Managers, Fiduciaries, Private Client Practices & Family Offices | Senior Hiring, Succession Planning & Appointment Due Diligence | ex-UBS Wealth Management & Korn Ferry

I work as an External Appointments & Succession Advisor to wealth managers, fiduciaries and trustees, private client and trust practices in law firms, private client and tax divisions in accounting firms, and single family offices/private investment offices. My work provides an external layer of judgement and execution around critical appointments, particularly where the move is cross-jurisdictional or involves relocation.

Engagements are built from four modules (used individually or together)

  • Candidate Due Diligence: A near-final appointment check built around role-specific risk questions, structured formal references and confidential alumni/peer perspective (never current colleagues), with key points cross-checked.

  • Senior Hiring: Role definition and calibration, selective outreach, structured assessment and referencing through to decision.

  • Discreet competitor engagement & introductions (revenue roles): Targeted outreach and introductions for client-facing, revenue-driving roles, handled with tight discretion.

  • External Succession Planning: A quiet external view of credible options for exposed seats, with an optional second stage to test genuine openness and practical constraints without naming a client at the outset.

Background

Previously, I co-led global talent acquisition at UBS Wealth Management, and have spent roughly half my career working in New York, and the other half from London for Offshore/International. I have also served as a Senior Partner focused on wealth management, private equity and family offices at Korn Ferry, and have developed 30,000+ contacts through 300+ engagements. I am a dual Irish/US citizen, and have additionally lived in Grand Cayman & Guernsey.
